We will all fade at one point ...

We shall perish from this world of solid substances...

But our will , and what we have left for others will keep us alive and let us live for as long as our creations keep us...

So what we create during our lifetime determines if our existence will perish , or will our creation keep us alive for all eternity , making us immortal!
